We maintain a high Staff to Service User ratio of enthusiastic, skilled and committed staff, offering 24 hour waking support at Chilmington House.
The management team consists of Managing Director, Service Manager & Deputy Service Manager. An Assistant Deputy Service Manager has a specific role in supporting and training new staff members until they achieve our high standards. This team supervise and support members of the care & support team enabling them to achieve high standards.
The staff team provide a supportive and appropriately individualized environment that is designed to meet Service Users’ needs in occupational, educational and recreational activities, which are both home and community based eg colleges; day centres; social clubs; sensory sessions; leisure centres etc.
Staff are offered time off on full pay to pursue relevant training opportunities and where possible they are encouraged to pursue training beyond the level of their current position. In fact more than 50% of our team have gone on to do training at a higher level than that required by the National Minimum Standards.
Established staff members take on the responsibility of being Keyworker to a particular Service User. Overall, our staff are trained to provide opportunities for Service Users to learn and experience enjoyable activities and leisure pursuits in a homely and secure living environment.
